The farm was a seed farm back in the 1930s, but now has Icelandic sheep, pigs, gardens, and an orchards. At present, the orchard is slowly expanding as well as other tree crops such as nuts, olives, persimmons, apricots, loquats an others . With a 10 acre woodlot, foliage and Christmas treesĀ  are available. Vegetables and flowers are grown as well as small amounts of wheat. More berry bushes are being planted (blueberries, currents, gooseberries, Marion berries, haskap berries and raspberries). In summary, Old Road Farm is a diversified operation with the accent on meat, fruit & vegetables, Christmas trees, evergreen foliage, with more interesting crops and livestock planned for the future!
