The farm was a seed farm back in the 1930s, but now has Icelandic sheep, pigs, gardens, and a small orchard. At present, the fruit orchard is slowly expanding as well as other tree crops such as nuts. With a 10 acre woodlot, foliage and Christmas trees are available. Vegetables and flowers are grown as well as small amounts of wheat. More berry bushes are being planted (blueberries, currents, gooseberries, marion berries, and raspberries). In summary, Old Road Farm is a diversified operation with the accent on meat, fruit & vegetables, Christmas trees, evergreen foliage, with more interesting crops and livestock planned for the future!
